|
|
Are there any longs that get written when using USB Redirector for Linux as Client and connecting to a USB Redirector Server running windows?
We are trying to identify ways with which we can track the number of Licenses the USB Redirector Server is using. So looking for any logs or pointers from the client side that we can use for tracking. |

Thanks for the response peter. Perhaps I should post this in the other forum, but do we have similar logs for the Windows client as well? if so, where is that located? |

On Windows, logging is disabled by default. It can be enabled via registry with the help of these .reg files:
https://www.incentivespro.com/usb-redirector-client-log.zip
You will have to restart USB Redirector Client service after applying the enable.reg file. The log file will be located in C:\Windows\system32\usbredirectorsrvlt.exe.log |

Will this be the same for USB Redirector (Server) on Windows environment? I want to log usage of the USB devices so I can see how long they are being used and who by. |

Yes, you can use these .reg files to enable and disable logging in the Windows version of USB Redirector:
https://www.incentivespro.com/usb-redirector-log.zip
To activate the settings, USB Redirector service must be restarted after applying a .reg file. The log file will be located in C:\Windows\system32\usbredirectorsrv.exe.log |
