Hello

I can replicate this issue with the following steps:

1)Fresh install of os with kernel 4.4.34+
2)Download kernel headers and install current version USB redirector successfully
3)Share a USB device
4)After reboot, system hangs, no mouse pointer or network connections possible

Any ideas?

Thanks

Hi! Probably auto-sharing is enabled. In auto-sharing mode USB Redirector will share all USB devices. Shared devices are not available locally. And since Raspberry's network adapter is attached via USB, it will be shared as well.

You can disable and enable auto-sharing mode with the following commands:
Code:
usbsrv -autoshare off
Code:
usbsrv -autoshare on

There is a feature called Exclusion List that helps to prevent auto-sharing of some partucilar USB devices. I would recommend to add network adapter, keyboard and mouse to exclusions before enabling auto-sharing. You can add and remove devices from exclusions with the following commands:
Code:
usbsrv -addexclude <device id>
Code:
usbsrv -remexclude <device id>

Cheers

I had the same problem after enabled autoshare.
Now rpi is unusable until I removed the usbsrvd init file, I not found the usbsrv configuration file, usbsrv -autoshare give error that require usbsrvd (impossible without result in unusable rpi)
I also tried to uninstall and reinstall but return unusable (seems because don't remove the configuration file)

Can someone tell me where is the usbsrv configuration file to manually edit it and disable autoshare for solved this problem please?

I had the luxury of being able to re-flash the SD card from scratch so I can't give more insight into this.

Configuration file is located at /etc/usbsrvd.conf

You can edit it and change the "startup=autosharing" line to "startup=manualsharing". It is not recommended to edit it manually, though.

Altenatively, you can delete the config to disable auto-sharing, but you will loose all other settings as well (e.g. exclusions, shared devices, etc.).

And in any case you should either restart the daemon or reboot to apply the changes.
