hello

We want to share USB pen drive or dongle on two computers connected to internet. They are not on single network.

How can we do it. we know their IP Addresses. They are on static IP.

Do you mean you want to use the dongle on two computers simultaneously? Unfortunately this is not possible with USB Redirector. What you can do is redirect the dongle from one computer to another and use it remotely. But when you redirect a USB device, it becomes inaccessible on the computer where it is physically attached,

Is your target computer behind the router? If so, you need to setup port forwarding on the router, so that the router forwards connections from 32032 TCP port to the LAN IP address of the target computer.

Also, please double check that:
1) you specified the correct IP address
2) you specified the correct TCP port number

Hi Samuel,

As I've said in the message above, you need to setup port forwarding on the router (or on the hotspot in your case), so that it forwards connections coming from Internet on TCP port 32032 to the same TCP port number on your computer. This has to be done on USB server side. Unfortunately I can not provide exact instruction on how to do this, because the procedure is different for different router and hotspot models, so please refer its manual.

When creating a connection on USB client, you need to specify USB server's Internet IP address. You can findout the IP by opening www.whatismyip.com site from the USB server.

Hello Pter,
It seems a bit shame but for some reason I am not able to connect to other computer's usb device over the internet. Is it because I am using trial version on both computers at this time or something with my settings ?.
I am getting an error on my side (server) under Remote USB devices available
"Check IP address, TCP port, firewall...."
I went to client computer and typed what is my ip and copy that ip (wan ip) and did add in my side (server).
On my side (server) I went to what is my ip and copy that ip (wan ip).
Then in my router I added my wan ip and opened port 32032 for both TCP and UDP.
Than in my router I added my computer's ip address i.e. 192.168.0.50 and opened port 32032 for both TCP and UDP.
I am still getting the same error "Check IP address, TCP port, firewall...."

Kindly help me.
Thank you.
