Step-by-step USB Redirector RDP edition usage. Quick start.

USB Redirector RDP Edition has to be installed on both computers:

1. USB Redirector RDP Workstation has to be installed on (Workstation client side) - computer where you're going to share physically connected USB device.

2. USB Redirector RDP Terminal Server has to be installed on (Terminal Server side) - computer where you're going to use remote USB device.

Step 1. Share USB device on Workstation client side

Start USB Redirector RDP Edition. You will see the window with the list of USB devices available for sharing. If you can not find one of your USB devices in this list, please check whether it is plugged into USB port or not.

To share USB device you need to choose this device from the list of USB devices on your computer and click button on Toolbar or choose Sharing->Share USB Device.

And USB Redirector will share USB device automatically. It can take a few seconds and depends on the device model, its occupation by the system and so on. Please note! When USB device is shared, it becomes unavailable on the local system (Workstation client side) !

Step 2. Login on Terminal Server side

Start your Remote Desktop Client

Step 3. Connect USB device to Terminal Server side

If connection to the Terminal Server was successful, all shared USB devices will be automatically connected!
