USB Redirector for Linux v3.6 has been released

  • Client IPs now automatically resolve to hostnames if possible (e.g. when displaying a list of clients or when displaying an address of a client that connected the device)
  • Implemented a workaround for multiple issues with DesignWare USB 2.0 OTG Host Controllers that use dwc_otg driver (Raspberry Pi and other similar devices), including system crash when unplugging a USB device, system crash when redirecting webcams, system crash when redirecting iPhone, redirected devices not working on USB client, etc.

USB Redirector for Linux v3.5 has been released

New Features and Improvements:
  • Added support of Linux kernels up to 4.5.
  • Implemented a number of internal modifications that improve program stability and serve as a base for the future developments.
  • USB server: implemented new sharing algorithm that prevents conflicts with default driver and/or apps that try to access a device while it is shared. This allows less stress to a device and prevents glitches that can cause it to work incorrectly when redirected to a client.
  • USB server: improved support of MTP and PTP devices which can not handle multiple re-initializations correctly (mostly Android-based tablets and phones). This resulted in device not displaying in Windows Explorer on Windows clients.
Bugfixes:
  • Fixed memory leaks in kernel module in case if daemon crashes.
  • USB server: fixed problem where iPhone could be stuck in 'initializing' state after manual or automatic sharing.
  • USB server: allow unsharing of devices in 'initializing' state.

USB Redirector TS Edition v1.0 has been released

This is a new product which allows redirection of USB devices over Remote Desktop to Terminal Server running on Windows Server 2003, 2008 or 2008R2.

It is very much similar to USB Redirector RDP Edition, except that this product provides some advanced features for Terminal Server users.

  • Isolation of USB devices in user's session (HID and Mass Storage only).

Now Terminal server users can easily redirect their USB devices (plugged locally) to the Terminal Server.
