USB Redirector for Linux v3.10 has been released

New Features Improvements:

  • Added support of Linux kernels up to 5.18
  • Implemented latency compensation for FTDI FT232H allowing it to work over high-latency connections.
  • USB client: added command-line option to disconnect all devices from a specific USB server.

Bugfixes:

  • Fixed kernel module compilation error on RHEL 8 and newer (RedHat 8, CentOS 8, and other RedHat-based distros).
  • Fixed installation error "killall not found" on some systems.
  • USB server: fixed kernel warning "refcount_t: underflow; use-after-free." on 5.x kernels when USB device is unshared or unplugged.

USB Redirector Technician Edition v2.3 has been released

New Features Improvements:

  • Improved connection algorithm to allow connecting with customers in cases where it was not possible previously due to specifics of some Internet providers.
  • Improved connecition algorithm to prevent sudden disconnects in case of unstable Internet connection.
  • Technician: minor UI improvements.
  • Customer Module: indicate cloud connection status with the color of step number (green/yellow).

Bugfixes:

  • Technician: fixed problem where the program could stop connecting with customers until restarted.
  • Technician: fixed problem where application could stop working after Internet disruption, showing "Internal Error. Click here to restart application".

Scan Redirector RDP Edition v3.4 has been released

Scan Redirector RDP Edition v3.3 has been released

New Features and Improvements:

  • Improved scanning performance with feeder.
  • Tray menu will display "not attached" if the currently selected scanner is not attached.
  • Added support of FreeRDP, the free open-source RDP client.
  • Added ability for administrator to force default scanner via system registry on workstation.

USB Redirector Technician Edition v2.1 has been released

Bugfixes:

  • Customer Module: fixed issue where Customer Module could request the KB4474419 Windows update, even though it was already installed or not required.
  • Technician: fixed problem where it was impossible to re-install USB driver for the redirected device without rebooting the system. This problem affected USB 3.0 and other USB devices with WDF drivers.
  • Technician: fixed problem with connecting to the cloud server after entering an out-of-date license key if subscription has been already renewed.
  • Technician: fixed incorrect display of a customer name in the tray menu.
  • Technician: fixed memory leak which could make the program's UI unresponsive.

USB Redirector for Linux v3.9.5 has been released

Bugfixes:

  • USB server: fixed issue that could potentially lead to kernel panic with message "spinlock wrong CPU on CPU#x" on multi-core systems when redirecting USB Mass Storage devices (since 3.1).
  • USB server: fixed memory allocation problem which could cause kernel panic, system hang or incorrect redirection of USB Mass Storage devices (since 3.9).
  • USB server: fixed issue where USB displays were not working when redirected (since 3.9).
  • USB server: fixed issue with redirecting mass storage devices on big-endian systems.
  • USB server: fixed issue with sharing a single USB device when there are other devices with the same serial number, other devices were shared after replug (since 3.9)

Scan Redirector RDP Edition v3.2 has been released

This release adds support of the scanner's automatic features, such as automatic rotation, border detection and deskew. We also added a possibility to skip blank pages when scanning from feeder. Please note that these options are available only when they are supported by scanner.

New Features and Improvements:

  • Added option to discard blank pages when scanning from feeder (subject to support in scanner)
  • Added option to enable auto-rotation (subject to support in scanner)
  • Added option to enable automatic border detection (subject to support in scanner)

Compatibility:

Scan Redirector RDP Edition v3 is backwards compatible with v2 to allow smooth transition to new version. Old clients will continue to work with the new server while you update the infrastructure, but they will not support the new features.

Scan Redirector RDP Edition v3.0

Today we are presenting the new Scan Redirector RDP Edition v3.0!

The major feature we implemented in this release is the full WIA support on server side. As a result, it is now possible to use any WIA-enabled apps for scanning through Scan Redirector! Additionally, we added system tray icon inside a remote session for easier access to scanner selection menu, implemented Citrix support and greatly improved performance with high-speed scanners.

This version requires a new license, so if you already own a license for the older version, please click here request the update.

  • Added WIA support on server side through the virtual WIA scanner.
  • Scan Redirector is now displayed in "Devices and Printers" and "Devices and Scanners" consoles.

USB Redirector for Linux v3.5 has been released

New Features and Improvements:

  • Added support of Linux kernels up to 4.5.
  • Implemented a number of internal modifications that improve program stability and serve as a base for the future developments.
  • USB server: implemented new sharing algorithm that prevents conflicts with default driver and/or apps that try to access a device while it is shared. This allows less stress to a device and prevents glitches that can cause it to work incorrectly when redirected to a client.
