Hello,

My company is evaluating a purchase of your product, and we are testing it with a fingerprint reader thru ts that out application needs to work. There are around 50 clients that will need this feature.

They connect onto three terminal servers.

We tested usb redirector 1.6 for terminal services and it works perfectly for the first fingerprint reader. When the second user in terminal services maps his fingerprint reader, what happens is that the first user's fingerprint reader lits, not his own.

What could be the problem? We really are interested in buying this solution.

The fingerprint reader model is a nitgen hamster, model Hfdu04.

This behavior happens on windows 2003 and 2008.

Alesneri please note Windows specifies that USB devices are global in the System. So, they act in the same way as if they are directly plugged into USB port of your Terminal Server.

Currently we are in process of developing of technology that would allow to separate devices between RDP sessions, so that each user can see and use only devices that he connected. This is already working with USB HID and USB Mass storage devices.

Please contact us to get beta version.

Hello, thank you for the contact.

I wonder if you have an estimate of when will leave a version of software to solve this problem.

And also if you have a BETA version, I'd like to get it to test.

Hi One of our customers is evaluating a purchase of your product, and we wanted to find out if support for fingerprint readers (30 clients) exists in the latest RDP Edition.

nataraj,

If you need to redirect the readers to the terminal server, please consider using USB Redirector TS Edition. Otherwise, RDP Edition should do the job. Please feel free to try the trial.
