|We are using USB Redirector for Linux client on a Debian 7 server.
We need to upgrade this server to Debian 9.
So, I first upgraded the server to Debian 8 and USB Redirector for Linux didn't work anymore. I've tried to re-compile it for the current kernel and obtained kernel headers and kernels sources.
But after some time I gave up and switched back to Debian 7, because this is a production server and should not be unreachable to long.
On http://www.incentivespro.com/usb-server-install.html, I've read that "USB Redirector for Linux works on Debian 5 - 7".
This means that even the previous Debian 8 is not officially supported.
So, are there any plans to support current Debian without recompile it?
Otherwise we had to switch to "usbip" which should work smoothly with current Linux version.
